Presenting convincing defenses were: Margaret Capobianco, Marisa D’Agosto, Lori Ludow, Jan Miller, Laura Panter, Larissa Simonovski, Lorraine Squires, Stephanie Stewart, and Jessica Tymecki.

Lively book discussions were facilitated by Joanne Albano, Jeri Cohen, Kate Monsour, Kelly Rechsteiner , Donna Rosenblum, and Sue Sloan.

The voting was close, but with a run-off ballot the results were:
Printz Winner: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
